Kingfisher Program

Mandatory Documents

  • Two most recent reports from current primary school
    • Grade point average of 4* or above across subjects- Japanese/Language, English, Maths, Science and History/ Geography.
    • Consistent high levels of school engagement reflected in effort and behaviour grades (EX and VG), teacher comments and attendance records.
    • Applications are considered case-by-case where circumstances have affected reporting results of applicant
    • Application may be placed on hold pending review of upcoming report

*Calculated by scale of academic achievement where A= 5, B= 4, C= 3, D= 2, E= 1

  • Personal statement - Applicant’s own statement briefly explaining why they would like to enrol in this program.

Recommended Documents

  • Year 5 NAPLAN results - Grade point average calculated by finding average of the applicants 4 highest ranked strands. An average no lower than 7 is desirable.
  • Teacher Reference - Written ref​erence from classroom teacher or other key school staff. eg: Current or recent teacher, School administration
  • Competitions and School Achievements - Copy of stud​​​​​​​​ent's Involvement in academic competitions and achievements and involvement and achievements in other various school activities including leadership roles, sporting achievements co-curricular and extra-activities

Optional Documents

  • STEM Engagement - Copy the students engagement with STEM or STEAM programs at primary school either as curricular or extra-curricular activity and outcomes achieved. eg: Certificates of participation, Confirmation/ reference letters

Japanese Immersion Program

Mandatory Documents

  • Two most recent reports from current primary school
    • Grade point average of 4* or above across subjects- Japanese/Language, English, Maths, Science and History/ Geography.

​Supporting evidence - Optional

  • Japanese / Language studies - Evidence of engagement with Japanese language studies (or other Language) in primary school and grades achieved.
  • Teacher Reference - Japanese / Language teacher (or classroom teacher) reference
  • Competitions and School achievements - Involvement and achievements in state and nation-wide academic competitions or other various school activities including leadership roles, co-curricular and extra-activities (debating, band, speech competitions, clubs etc.)

Sports Acad​emy

Expression of Interest All Programs

Mandatory Documentation

  • School Reports - Provide the applicant's the last two semester academic reports.
  • Sporting Achievements - Provide a copy of the applicant's involvement and achievements in sporting activities including years played, representative teams, personal and/or team successes. eg: Player Resume including team(s) played for, individual achievements, playing history and representative honours, any relevant video footage.
Optional Documentation
  • School Achievements - Provide a copy of the applicant's involvement and achievements in other various school activities including leadership roles, sporting achievements, co-curricular and extra-activities.
  • Personal Statement - Provide the applicant's own statement briefly explaining why they would like to enrol in this program.
  • Community Involvement - Provide a copy of the applicant's involvement in community activities, initiatives, clubs and societies. eg: Certificates of participation and / or Confirmation/ reference letters​

Sports Academy Scholarships 

Applications​ ​are now open for our 2026 Sports Academy. Current Sports Academy students, and Year 6 students joining our Academy can apply for full and half scholarships.

Applications are due Friday 27 June and need to be completed and returned to Daniel Norton-Smith, Sports Academy Director​ by email with any supporting documentation.

Mandatory Documentation

  • Previous Education in Arts  - Provide a copy the student's resume containing their previous education in Arts Area (Private Tuition, Performance Experience, School Classes)

​​​​Kingfisher Scholarship Applications

Applications​​ are now open for our 2025 Kingfisher Scholarships. Current Year 6 students may be awarded a full or half scholarships in the areas of Academic Excellence, Leadership or The Arts. Applications are due Friday 21 June and need to be completed and returned to our enrolment officer by email with any supporting documentation. 

Please note that our Sports Academy award their own, separate scholarships that are detailed below.
