Robina Alliance - Annual Golf Day

The Robina Alliance Golf Day was a fantastic celebration of community spirit, bringing together 96 players for a morning of friendly competition and connection. Held at the picturesque Emerald Lakes Golf Course, the event featured an 18-hole Ambrose-style tournament, where teams worked together to enjoy the game and foster new relationships. From the moment of registration through to the final putt, the day was filled with energy, laughter, and great sportsmanship.

This successful event wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. A special thank you to our Naming Rights Sponsor, Harvey Norman Burleigh Waters – Computer and Electrical, for your valued contribution. We also extend our gratitude to our dedicated hole sponsors, who helped make the day memorable. The Robina Alliance continues to grow as a powerful network of local businesses and educators, and this event was a great example of the connections and collaboration that define our shared purpose.

Event Wrap-Up: An Evening of Art, Community & Giving

Last night the Gold Class Lounge at Event Cinemas, Robina Town Centre, came alive for a meaningful evening of connection and creativity with Baby Give Back and Robina State High School’s Art Department.

The event brought together community members, exquisite artwork, and supporters to raise awareness for Baby Give Back, a Queensland charity dedicated to giving children an equal start in life by providing vital items like clothing and nappies to families in need. It also supported fundraising efforts for our Art's Department, helping to nurture the next generation of creative talent.

Guests were treated to an inspiring night featuring Artist and guest speaker Chris Williams, Experience Gold Coast Head of Arts & Culture, Yarmila Alfonzetti, and Baby Give Back's CEO, Carly Fradgley; alongside special guests Cr Dan Doran and Steven Semaan, our generous platinum sponsor from Clear Smiles Orthodontics.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Robina State High School’s P&C, Robina Town Centre, and everyone who contributed to the evening’s success—whether through attendance, support, or partnership. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make this event a celebration of community spirit and shared purpose.

October 2024
📣 Robina Alliance Breakfast Wrap-Up for 2024!

What an inspiring morning packed with insights and opportunities! Here's a quick look at the key takeaways from today’s speakers:
🌟 Embrace the opportunities! The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games offer more than just four weeks of events—our facilities will host major sporting events before and after, providing an ongoing stream of business possibilities.
🏅 Athlete engagement. Olympians and Paralympians enjoy connecting with schools, sharing their experiences to inspire the next generation. On game day, though, a better question to ask than "How are you feeling?" is "Is there anything I can do for you?"
🏟 Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Hosting the Olympics is about more than the event itself—it’s about the lasting legacy and giving businesses a chance to step onto the global stage.
💡 More than just hospitality. Activation sites will need more than food and drinks—there’s demand for physios, allied health professionals, and other support services.
📅 Long-lasting legacy. Sydney's Olympic venues from 2000 are still in use today—Brisbane 2032 will offer similar long-term opportunities for our facilities and businesses.
💼 Strategic thinking. Businesses should start planning now on how to position themselves to leverage the opportunities. This is a unique moment to build a lasting story and capitalize on every chance.
💪 Challenges ahead—but embrace them! Major events always come with challenges, but they also bring significant opportunities. Now is the time to get involved, think strategically, and be part of something monumental.
🌱 Focus on sustainability and accessibility. These games are not just about the present—they're about building a future that is both sustainable and inclusive for everyone.

❓ The big question—where will the Opening Ceremony be held? While we didn’t get an answer, the excitement is building for what’s set to be a historic event.

Let's make the most of every opportunity and build an unforgettable legacy for Brisbane 2032! Volunteer, participate, and engage—the countdown is on! 🚀
Thank you to our panel guests Councillor Dan Doran, Trish Apps, Ella Sabljak, and Kenny Wallace OAM, as well as our Q&A host, Ryan Keen.
