Robina State High School opened in January 1996 with an enrolment of approximately 350 Year 8 students. The official opening of the school took place several months later on July 16. Our school quickly developed a reputation for innovative curriculum and a commitment to CARE. Our school motto Believe and Succeed and guiding principles... PRIDE, RESPECT, OWNERSHIP, MANNERS, OPPORTUNITIES, TEAMWORK & EXCELLENCE were established during the foundation year as were our school houses FRANKLIN, HINZE, GOODING & LAVER.

Our school grew steadily and in 1999 we introduced our senior schooling program which features flexible delivery over 4 contact days for students in years 11 and 12. In 2000, we graduated our first senior cohort.
