Robina State High School has a very strong relationship with the community. Through a range of service and cultural organisations and activities students and staff participate in developing a school response to community needs, including development of a global understanding through International Programs.

LEO Club

The Robina State High School Leos fundraise for a variety of charities and organisations, such as Daffodil Day, Bandana Day and 40 Hour Famine.

"The LEOs club is a great program," says Matthew Parker, a new member, "It gives a variety of students the chance to use their abilities to help the community."

The Leos, however, is more than just a fundraising program. One of the most important goals of the committee is to promote leadership and organisation skill among students. An additional bonus is the few laughs along the way and making new friends.

The Environment Committee

It is the mission of our Environment Committee, headed by Ms Helen McKenzie, to provide the Robina Community with an everlasting flora and fauna habitat and an environment where the community can recognise and remember late students and school members in a memorial place. The area will be protected by the community and legislators to ensure a natural habitat survives development into the next century and beyond. It is hoped that the wider community takes ownership of the rainforest. Obviously the students will be the primary caretakers of the environment and utilize it for learning experiences. However it is envisaged that the wider community will take pride in its up keep as the benefits aesthetically, culturally and naturally will be reaped by the wider community. It is hoped the rainforest becomes an area of community pride. The Environment Committee recognise the valuable contributions of our sponsors, the Sunland Group and Gecko, and thank them for their support.

Student Council

The Student Council is an essential part of the student leadership program. It supports other organisations including the LEO Club and Environment Committee in providing opportunities for students to become actively involved in school life. It is responsible for facilitating events such as "Shave for a Cure" and our annual Talent Quest. Student representatives from all year levels meet regularly to discuss initiatives and provide a voice for the student body. The council features sub-committees which deal with aspects of school life such as the appreciation of our school history.
