BELS FEES:
Fees are set each year and are available from the school at any time.
WHAT THE SCHEME COVERS:
As a participant in the Lending Scheme, your student will be provided with all the necessary textbooks, including a Student Organiser. Stationary is NOT provided. Membership is not compulsory, however non participation will require the purchase of textbooks and provision of all materials used in each subject area. The Government Textbook and Resource Allowance supports the scheme. These Allowances are $95 per year for students in years 8-10, and $209 for those in senior years and this is paid directly to the school by the Queensland Government for every student.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Robina High Offers the following payment methods:
- Instalment payment system through out part payment contract (Credit card only). An initial payment of half of total amount owing, with balance paid off during terms 2, 3 & 4.
- Hardship circumstances can be discussed with the Registrar.
- A 10% discount is offered for payments made in full prior to Wednesday 12 December 2007.
- Family discount offered for 3 or more children (20% 3rd child, 30% 4th child & subsequent children).
REFUNDS
Refunds to departing students will be made upon the return of all books and materials, on a weekly pro-rata basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Student ID Card is used by students in the daily operation of the school eg. borrowing books from BELS or the Library. Students are issued with ID cards in Year 8, Year 9 and Year 11. A replacement cost of $5.00 will be incurred for lost/damaged/stolen cards.
- Students are issued with a Student Organiser at the commencement of each year. A replacement cost will be incurred for lost/damaged/stolen Organisers.
- Students will supply their own personal requirements – as outlined in the Hire Charges and Subject Requirements List.
- It is the student's responsibility to keep loaned books in good condition. Books lost or damaged must be replaced before further books will be issued.
- Students with a poor record of loss or damage may be banned from the Scheme at the discretion of the Principal.
- All books and equipment supplied under the Scheme remain the property of the school, and must be returned when the student leaves.
- Books and resources provided under the scheme cannot be issued to students whose parents/caregivers choose not to participate.
- Families owing money or books from the previous year will not be issued books until the debt has been cleared.
Parents/caregivers who do not wish to participate in the scheme should inform the school office. These parents/caregivers will receive a cheque from the school to the value of the Allowance for each of their children. However, they are expected to provide all necessary textbooks and resources for their student children The lists of necessary items can be obtained from the School, or please see below.
